Ron Foster

Ron began his radio career at country KTLW in his hometown of Texas City, Texas when he was 14. He's been in radio ever since. From KTLW to KILE in Galveston, to country KIKK-FM in Houston where he co-hosted the morning show and acted as PD - from there it was morning drive at country KSCS-FM in Dallas/Ft. Worth and then onto ABC Radio networks where he hosted the afternoon drive show heard around the world for over 23 years.

"Radio is all I've ever wanted to do, even as a kid."

"It's great to be on Real Country because that's just what it is - real country. It's the best country music mix I've heard. Absolutely love the format, the people, and the music."

Ron has been married to the love of his life for the past 4 years - Ruthie who is also a big country music fan, especially Texas music from the likes of Jerry Jeff Walker, Johnny Bush, Willie Nelson, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and more. "She's still trying to teach me to dance but I can't get over the 'two left feet' thing." He has two grown kids, Shawna and Chance. Shawna is a teacher and Chance manages a gun shop. And of course, his granddaughter Emerson owns a big chunk of his heart.

"I've taken a lot more out of radio than radio has taken out of me." I don't ever plan on retiring. This is just too much fun!
